1st Period

My favorite photo from this blog is the picture of the cat prowling on the ground. I like this picture because the photographer uses depth of field in order to bring out the subject, the cat, and blur the surroundings. The subtle patterns of the ground also gives the picture more elements and color.

2nd Period

My favorite photo from this blog is the picture of the swimmer in the white cap and reflective goggles. This picture uses natural light to not only bring out the features of the subject, but to give the goggles a reflective element, almost making it look like a mirror. This is one of my favorite pictures in the blog because it grasps the concept of a portrait shot to its fullest.

3rd Period

My favorite photo from this blog is the picture of an iphone taking a picture of a slide. This picture also uses depth of field to really bring out the iphone, which in turn emphasizes the slide. The bright yellow color in this picture makes the picture pop, and the lines in the iphone give the picture an element of pattern.

4th Period

I think this is the best picture in the blog because it once again uses depth of field to bring out one pine cone from a pile of many. It uses a low aperture to blur the background and uses a good 2/3 composition to make the picture more comfortable for the eye.
